The cave is located at the top of a valley and has a large level enclosed patio area and no steep drops so is suitable for children. There is also a swimming pool on its own patio. It is within easy walking distance of the pretty village centre with a shop and bar. Short drives away are small market towns and lakes large enough to be used for swimming and water sports. The main town of Castril with its many shops, bars and restaurants is only five minutes drive away. The area around Fuente Vera is known as the Altiplano and is an unspoiled area of nature reserves with magnificent views towards mountains. Slightly further a field are the historic cities of Granada and Cartegena or the coast at Almeria.
